Style stars don’t materialize overnight. Instead, they spend weeks, months, even years making their way into our collective visual mind, before finding themselves splashed all over the pages of Who What Wear. Lucky for us, we’ve found actresses Mackenzie Davis, India Eisley, Maddie Hasson, and Erin Westbrook—our four favorites that will be leading fashion’s new wave.
Mackenzie Davis: The Ingénue
With a handful of films coming out in the next year—including That Awkward Moment starring Zac Efron—Mackenzie Davis doesn’t have time to dwell on perfecting her style. “It’s a mix between sheer laziness and tomboyness, and then, like, lots of fur,” she says, laughing. “Whatever effort I lack in the rest of my outfit I’ll always find, a great coat to put on. I think what Miuccia Prada does is so intelligent and thoughtful, so I love wearing anything by her.”
India Eisley: Acting Royalty
Nineteen-year-old actress India Eisley may be the daughter of Olivia Hussey, who played Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli’s iconic Romeo and Juliet, but her style is anything but dramatic. “My usual 'day to day' look is just comfort driven: a soft t-shirt, I love ALC and Joie jeans, and my favorite combat boots,” she says. “If I have to dress up, it's either a little black dress, or black jeans, a blouse, and a waistcoat.”
Maddie Hasson: Instagram Style Star
“When I dress, I like to imagine the girls from high school telling me, ’You can’t wear a halo of pearls and red lipstick every day,’” says Maddie Hasson, star of ABC Family’s Twisted. “Then I leave the house wearing a halo of pearls and red lipstick.” And with style icons like Karl Lagerfeld, Solange Knowles, and Courtney Love, you know the 18 year old is totally serious.
Erinn Westbrook: Model-Turned-Actress
Erinn Westbrook, model turned Glee mean girl, is all about mixing and matching. “My style is very eclectic,” says the recent Harvard grad who cites Nicole Richie, June Ambrose, and Mary-Kate Olsen as style icons. “Most often I’m ‘gritty girly, pairing girly pieces with edgier ones.”
