Russia Takes The Gold For Street Style Accessories

The most stylish women in Russia have been taking fashion week(s) street style by storm for the past few seasons. Affectionately called the “Russian Fashion Pack,” they have a particular affinity for accessorizing and can teach us all a thing or two.

  • Some of the key members include Miroslava Duma, a pint-sized brunette who founded Buro 24/7, Russia’s leading fashion and culture website. Then there is Nasiba Adilova who works with her at Buro 24/7 and moonlights as a philanthropic Dallas resident. Elena Perminova is married to a Russian media tycoon and has a successful modeling career, and finally Anya Ziourova who is a celebrated stylist and Fashion Director of Tatler Russia. Click through for our favorite inspiring images of their bold and covetable style.

Ziourova belted her Yves Salomon Belted Short Coat (no longer available) with a waist-cinching Dolce and Gabbana belt (no longer available), and topped her look with an androgynous, wide-brimmed Maison Michel Henrietta Boyfriend Hat ($479).

Adilova added character and warmth to her Chloe Double-Breasted Coat (similar here) and classic spectacles with Altuzarra furry mittens (no longer available).

    Nasiba Adilova

Outside the 3.1 Phillip Lim Show in New York, Adilova was photographed wearing a Tommy Hilfiger Parka ($899 call 212 223 1824 for store locations), boyfriend jeans, an architectural Reece Hudson Siren Backpack ($895). Adilova added an unexpected dose of utility with a pair of Timberland 6-Inch Premium Boots ($180).

    Miroslava Duma

Duma chose winter white for the Moncler Gamme Rouge show in New York. Wrapped in an embellished and feather-trimmed Moncler Puffer Coat (similar here), she wore white trousers with Gucci’s white lace-up booties (no longer available) and finished the bejeweled look with an oversized pearl ring from Natasha Zinko (similar here).

    Anya Ziourova

On its own, chartreuse outerwear is a bold style choice, but Ziourova fearlessly pairs her Cedric Charlier Single Breasted Coat ($1396) with a fuchsia LaLa Berlin Baghari Beanie ($120) and knee socks. By keeping the silhouettes simple, the bold colors look chic rather than tacky.

    Miroslava Duma

In support of her good friend, designer, and fellow Muscovite, Duma opted for an Ulyana Sergeenko embellished sweatshirt dress, complete with navy sash, for the Elie Saab S/S 14 Haute Couture show in January. She added Gianvito Rossi’s Thigh High Stiletto Boots ($1489) and a quirky Greek military cap (similar here) for a dash of whimsy.

    Miroslava Duma

Duma braved the New York snow in a custom-made A’ La Russe multi-colored brocade coat and matching headscarf (known in Russia as a platok). To balance her oversized coat, Duma accessorized with a structured Hermes Kelly Bag in Alligator (similar here).

  • Beanie

    Miroslava Duma

En route to the Michael Kors F/W 14 show, Duma was snapped wearing the designer’s Blossom-Print Belted Dress ($1875) and leather bustier (not yet available) with a fur-collared coat from Alexander Terekhov (similar here). Duma topped her look with a beanie designed by her friend Vika Gazinskaya (similar here) and a vintage jeweled brooch.

  • Quilted Bag

    Nasiba Adilova

During S/S 14 Couture Fashion Week in Paris, Adilova paired a shin-length Emilia Wickstead Raphael Plaid Wool Coat ($2970) with a quilted, printed Chanel Boy Flap Bag (similar here) and a Chanel Rodeo hat from the Pre-Fall 14 collectin (not yet available). The printed bag complements the plaid coat because they are in the same color family, and the rodeo hat avoids costume territory, thanks to its petite size.

Photographed at the Christian Dior Haute Couture S/S 14 show in Paris, Perminova accessorized her pink Dior Coat (not yet available, Dior.com for boutiques) with a Fendi Fox and Crystal Bracelet ($1100), and Balmain sandals (similar here). Duma wore a Vika Gazinskaya dress and topped it with a Vika Gazinskaya angora beanie. Adilova chose to pair her red Dior turban with a Charlotte Olympia Telephone Pandora Bag ($1819). Note how none of their outfits compete with their unique accessories.
