Denim showed up in many forms on the S/S 15 runways of Gucci, Fendi, Saint Laurent, Chloe, Burberry, and more. Designers took advantage of the structure of crisp denim to elevate blazers, long skirts, and even jumpsuits. These ultra-wearable and versatile pieces are appropriate enough for the office and chic enough for a night out.

When it comes to bags, the trends tend to be more stagnant and slow-moving than rest of the rapidly changing fashion world. So, you can imagine our surprise when we started to see circle bags all over the S/S 2015 runways. Whether you’re into leather, fabric, mini, or oversized, there’s a circle bag for everyone this season.

Arguably the prettiest trend of the season, the ballet-inspired look made an appearance in a number of spring collections, showing up on the runways of Valentino, Michael Kors, and Bottega Veneta. Feminine bodysuits, lightweight wrap sweaters, flowy dresses, sheer skirts, and dainty lace-up flats are among the key items that define this dreamy style.
It might be time to break out your favorite cargo pants (again!), because the military trend had a major resurgence, as seen at Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Acne Studios, Jason Wu, and more. With utility pockets and epaulettes, plus olive-green and khaki color stories, the sartorial soldier is marching toward spring.
Classic gingham is hardly new—fun fact: Brigitte Bardot actually got married in a gingham dress—but this season’s iterations give a fresh spin to the picnic pattern. From an oversized version at Oscar de la Renta to a sweet baby-blue print at Altuzarra, there are plenty of checks to choose from.
As is true with almost every spring season, florals were in full bloom on every runway from New York to Paris for S/S 15. With subtle iterations of the trend as well as bold, verging-on-cartoonish blossoms, flowers are once again having their moment in the sun as the weather warms up.
Suede never really goes out of style, and this season it took center stage, appearing at Chloe, Gucci, Derek Lam and Michael Kors. Rather than the same old separates, the suede total-look is what’s hot right now, with sumptuous dresses and matching sets, rendered in unexpected colors like pale pink and royal blue. Of course, if you’re looking for something more classic, the ‘70s-inspired brown dress is your answer.
