I finally faced it: a real-life spring closet clean out. Ahead of moving out of my apartment this spring, i knew I had to get around to it sooner rather than later, but I'll admit I wasn't expecting how strenuous it would be. Honestly, it was a process (albeit a very rewarding one). The benefits of a massive closet overhaul? Making room for fresh basic pieces that I feel excited about.

Even though I'm excited to start shopping for some shiny, new pieces ahead of the warmer weather, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. That being said, I started the hunt for the perfect six basic pieces for all under $100 and was very impressed with what I found. I'm sure you'll be, too. Just take a scroll below to see these can't miss spring basics.

If you buy anything from this list, let it be this.
