The Spice Girls Have an Exciting Announcement

Erin Fitzpatrick

The Spice Girls have some major news—well, three of the band members do. Geri Halliwell, Mel B, and Emma Bunton took to YouTube to make a cryptic announcement about an upcoming project they're working on. (Sadly, Victoria Beckham and Mel C don't appear to be part of whatever it is they're planning.)

Of course, serious Spice Girls fans know that this year marks the 20th anniversary of "Wannabe," the band's first hit. "You stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you," Halliwell says in the video. "We want to celebrate and have a party," Mel B continues. "And when we do, you're all invited!"

So what could it mean? The video is labeled "GEM," representing their three initials, so some are speculating that they've renamed themselves and are forming a new group. Whatever they have up their sleeve, it's safe to say we're majorly excited.
