How Much Carrie Bradshaw's NYC Apartment Would Actually Cost

As longtime Sex and the City fans, we are pretty familiar with what Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment looks like: Sarah Jessica Parker’s famous character once housed her swoon-worthy wardrobe and infinite collection of Manolo Blahniks in a walk-through closet that connected her bedroom to her two-door bathroom. She also had a spacious kitchen in the center of her space and a super-cute living room setup in front of her bedroom area. Like us, many viewers remember the bachelorette’s enviable layout (there’s even an Etsy store that sells her famous floor plan). But how much would this beautiful Upper East Side apartment cost IRL?
Price tag aside, according to New York Post, Carrie’s 245 East 73rd Street rent-controlled apartment doesn’t even exist. Exterior shots of her $700-a-month one-bedroom pad were, in fact, filmed in the West Village, and the 245 building number is fake too. NYP points out that the last door on the East 73rd Street block near Second Avenue is 243, and in today’s market, the fashion-savvy writer would be paying around $2700 per month—and that doesn’t even include the extensive wardrobe.
