Of Course Selena Gomez Wore This Brand in Her Vogue Shoot
Vogue just unveiled its April issue, and the cover star is none other than the talented Selena Gomez. The stylish singer, who currently serves as the face of Coach, poses in a floral Michael Kors Collection bustier and large Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings for her debut American Vogue cover (she's previously fronted Vogue Brasil and Vogue Australia in the past). Coincidentally, the 24-year-old sat front row next to Editor in Chief Anna Wintour at Coach's F/W 17 show and snapped a photo that famously garnered a record-breaking 2.5 million likes on Instagram.
With a massive 13 million followers on the platform, Gomez credits these fans for allowing her to be so open about her life. "People so badly wanted me to be authentic," she tells the magazine. "And when that happened, finally, it was a huge release. I'm not different from what I put out there. I've been very vulnerable with my fans, and sometimes I say things I shouldn't. But I have to be honest with them. I feel that's a huge part of why I'm where I am."
Though she's the most followed person on Instagram, Gomez opens up in the interview about her breaks from social media and the importance of self-care, too. The young singer has been very forthcoming about her personal ups and downs that come with life in the spotlight and refers to her break from touring this past fall as "one of the hardest things I've done, but it was the best thing I've done." She also has big plans for the future, which includes the Netflix series she executive-produced, 13 Reasons Why (out next month), brushing up on her Spanish, and living a low-key life out of the city.
