Here's Your First Peek at Selena Gomez's New Netflix Series

Gina Marinelli

Just a few hours ago, Selena Gomez revealed her new creative project that she’s been hiding up her sleeves. And though most fans of the 24-year-old might have been expecting her next album drop or more details on her upcoming Coach collaboration, it’s actually a Netflix series that Gomez called her “passion project” in her latest Instagram post.

The series, 13 Reasons Why, is based on the book by Jay Asher. It’s a mystery that surrounds the suicide of a teenage Hannah Baker and follows her classmate, Clay Jensen, as he pieces together the reasons she did it based on clues she’s left behind. Gomez, who’s producing the project, posted a teaser that instantly pulls you into the story. “I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended,” you hear the voiceover say.

13 Reasons Why will debut on Netflix on March 31, and we’re hoping that we’ll hear more about this project from Gomez before then. In the meantime, you can also follow the show’s official Instagram account, @13reasonswhy, for more clues on what to expect.

Scroll down to watch the official teaser from Gomez herself.
