They say that the clothes make the (wo)man, but in Sarah Jessica Parker’s case, the woman absolutely makes the clothes. So, we kicked up our heels when the Sex and the City star announced she was designing a line of shoes for Nordstrom, available at midnight on February 28th. Because, sartorially, who doesn’t want to be Carrie Bradshaw? And—how lucky are we?—Parker has taken time to share fashion favorites straight from her closet, must-have beauty products, and her obsession with genius novel The Goldfinch. After flipping through her list, we couldn’t help but wonder, could we walk a mile in her shoes? Turns out, with her amazing new collection, SJP, we can!

“Reminds me of all the ‘cool’ houses I would visit as a pre-pubescent. Families who lived in mid-century houses always seemed in possession of mugs like these. I adore them. The perfect gift!”

  • Laura Mercier

    Tinted Moisturizer ($43)

“For someone like myself who doesn't love the look of a lot of makeup, it's a wonderful light base. Evens out complexion in a demure way and never looks mask-like. It absorbs in beautifully to give a fresh, even look.”

“It doesn't move! The color is magnificent, looks sublime on all eye colors, and never betrays you.”

“I always thought, ‘when I grow up I'll use Ultra Brite, a mature toothpaste’. Back in the days before ‘whitening.’ It's still affordable, and I love the taste.”
