Chances are that if you grew up in the '90s, you owned at least one pair of Rocket Dogs. Specifically, the brand's signature (and very comfortable) high platform flip-flops, one of the original cool "ugly" sandals. Given Steve Madden's recent decision to bring back its iconic Slinky Sandals, we weren't exactly surprised to learn that Rocket Dog is also revamping one of its throwback styles, which were made famous, in part, by none other than The Spice Girls. But it's not just any revamp. Rocket Dog sought the help of celebrity stylist Elizabeth Saltzman for a new capsule collection featuring the sandals.

London-based Saltzman, who styles ultra-chic women like Gwyneth Paltrow, Saoirse Ronan, and Uma Thurman, may not be the first person you think of when it comes to Rocket Dogs, but as she told Footwear News, "I've been purchasing their shoes for years." She said the collaboration came about as a result of her visiting the store in London asking for special styles to be made. Saltzman's elevated spin on the shoes manifests in the form of striped platform soles, metallic details, and pearl embellishment. In her words (to Footwear News), these comfortable shoes "aren't for the red carpet, they're for the after-party."
