The '80s Are Back at Roberto Cavalli

Jessica Schiffer

For his first collection as creative director of the house, Pucci alum Peter Dundas drew on Roberto Cavalli's excellence with lavish evening wear and baroque detailing and combined them with streetwear elements reminiscent of the '80s. Poufy ball skirts were done up in tie-dye, acid-wash jeans were paired with chiffon tops, and biker vests were layered over metallic trousers. Does this signal a move from the '70s to '80s for spring? Only time will tell…
