I really want to get a leather jacket, but haven't decided if I want an investme

I have always said that no woman's closet is complete without a killer leather jacket. I swear by mine because it's a quick and easy fix to top off any outfit; you can throw it on when running out for a busy day of errands or don it at night to spruce up an ensemble for an evening event. It's even suitable for work if you ever get tired of a blazer and want to add edge to your nine-to-five look.

Fortunately, the trend does not discriminate according to one's budget! There are plenty of fantastic leather (or faux leather) jackets available in every price range. If you are just getting acquainted with the style, I suggest starting with an inexpensive yet luxe looking option; a black quilted version reminiscent of Chanel will work with anything, as will a brown leather jacket with a shearling collar. For a fun twist, try a traditional biker jacket in a daring shade of red.

Now, if you're like me and committed to the look, it might be time to invest in a designer jacket that you know will last you a lifetime. Should you decide to take the jump, I recommend opting for one in a neutral color, so you can get more wearing mileage for your purchase! Try a black option in washed leather with a cowl neck or one in a handsome cognac with rhinestone-embellished sleeves. Of course, I will never stop you from going with a bold color-a beautiful purple jacket will look major with everything.

Once you land on the perfect LLJ-little leather jacket-my final piece of advice is to not treat it too preciously! Rough it up a little, they only get better with age! xoRZ
