The Best Trends for Curvy Girls to Try, Courtesy of a Top Plus-Size Model

If you don't know Precious Lee's name yet, it's time to learn it. The plus-size model is one of the faces of Lane Bryant, and her newest campaign for the brand will be featured in none other than Sports Illustrated's famous Swimsuit Edition. (In fact, she's the first black plus-size model to be featured in the issue.) So of course we wanted to chat with the model about her new gig—and get her best fashion tips, too.

"It's such a large platform—I'm so excited," Lee told Who What Wear of her Lane Bryant campaign. "It's really impactful, and people get really involved with the campaign. It's a bigger platform than anyone else is doing with plus-size models. I feel very proud to advocate for curves and be an example of diversity for young girls."

When we asked Lee about her favorite style trends right now, she said there's one in particular that curvy girls tend to shy away from but shouldn't: the mixed-prints look. "It can look just as good [on curvy girls]," Lee said. "What I like to do is draw attention to my waist. I also really love anything high-waisted, of course. It's so flattering on everyone. Whatever shape you have, it shows it off."
