Is This the Shoe Style All the NYC Girls Will Wear?

Bobby Schuessler

The "ugly-pretty" shoe is nothing new in the fashion world. For seasons, we've spotted chunky sandals and clogs on the runways, the street style set, and celebs. But there appears to be a new iteration of that look that's taking over the style world. As Vogue recently pointed out, "non-fashion" shoes are becoming incredibly popular. Trendsetters in NYC like Leandra Medine have become partial to this look, wearing classic Dr. Scholl's sandals. Our own style director, Nicole Kliest, has been spotted in the shoes, too. To be honest, we're totally into this look—especially the single-strap clunkier slides. They feel fresh and new, not to mention incredibly comfortable.

Interested in testing out the trend we think more and more fashion girls will try this summer? We rounded up some of our favorite outfits featuring the new It sandals and included our must-haves to shop now.
