Fashion Week Beauty Essentials

Packing Our Fashion Week Beauty Essentials!

1 of 15
  • The Who What Wear team is New York-bound to cover the first leg of Fashion Month! Our Beauty Director, Britt Aboutaleb, is packing a slew of essentials to keep her looking fresh during the year's busiest week. Click here to see the video.

  • T. Anthony Hat Case ($1,600) in Black and White

Flying rarely feels glamorous these days, but with T. Anthony's hat case in tow, your airport look is immediately elevated.

  • DiorShow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum ($28)

Simply put, this serum makes your lashes as big as they're going to get, regardless of which mascara you apply on top. The primer, which actually encourages long-term growth and strength, makes lashes look fake, but even better because they're not.

  • Prada Hardside Luggage ($3050) in White and Black

In some universe, this is indeed a must-have.

  • Diptyque Solid Perfume ($48) in Eau Duelle

I usually have Diptyque's candles burning at home--their scents are relaxing. I'm hoping to replicate those effects on my body.

  • Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap ($3) in Lavender

This soap does everything, smells clean, and is small enough to carry on a plane.

  • Tom Ford Cream Color for Eyes ($40) in Illicit

I'm going to give red eye shadow a shot and this creamy formula is easy to blend for an autumnal smoky eye.

  • Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Hydrating Lip Conditioner ($32.50)

At some point it became more fun to pull a Chanel tube out of my bag than a stick of Bonne Bell, which is why I included this super fancy chapstick. Not to mention it does a bang-up job of moisturizing my lips.

  • Smythson Makeup Bag ($205)

Living out of a suitcase is easier when you can find what you're looking for, thanks to these brightly colored pouches.

  • Bumble & bumble Hair Powder ($35) in Brown

After years of trying, I've finally learned how to not wash my hair everyday. This is a staple.

  • Hourglass Liquid Lipstick ($28) in Icon

This looks like lip gloss, but it actually turns into a matte lipstick on your lips. And it doesn't move--an essential feature considering how much coffee and water I drink every day of Fashion Week.

  • Estee Lauder Pure Color Quick Thick Eyeliner ($21.50) in Punker

A quick flick of liquid eyeliner is my go-to trick when I need to look pulled together. This is the easiest one I've ever used. It's like a Sharpie for your eyes!

  • Kate Somerville DermalQuench ($95)

This little silver tube is a cure-all. It makes my face look fresh post-flight and is the perfect way to perk up my skin after a series of late nights. Whatever's making you look tired? This counters it.

  • Osmo Essence Fibre Paste ($17)

I'm on a mission to copy Katherine's hair. The ends of her blunt bob look perfectly piece-y and slept in, but not stringy. She uses this, so now I do too.
