The Newsworthy Items We Can't Wait To Shop This Month!

What September is to fall fashion, March is to spring; in other words, it’s one of the biggest and busiest months of the year, sartorially speaking. That’s good news for all of us because that means there are even more interesting items than usual to look forward to over the next four weeks. From beauty to bags to David Bowie, check out all of March’s most exciting collaborations, launches, and more in this month’s WWW: Hearts story.

AG x Liberty London Collette Shirt ($235) and Legging Ankle Jeans ($245)
Combining two of spring’s biggest trends, denim and florals, the AG + Liberty  London collaboration is sure to become an overnight favorite. The 15-piece capsule collection, out now, features three of Liberty London’s heritage prints on a range of easy-chic dresses, chambray shirts, scarves, denim cutoffs, and cropped ankle jeans. Whether you mix and match your favorite styles or pair them with seasonal wardrobe staples, we can assure you you’ll get plenty of wear out of this wonderfully feminine fashion marriage.

Jerome C. Rousseau Exclusive Style for shoescribe.com ($695) in Silver
In celebration of Oz: The Great and Powerful, which hits theaters March 8th, footwear designer Jerome C. Rousseau created an inspired-by heel exclusively for shoescribe.com available March 7th. Elegant and unique, the glittery stilettos with spiral detail are sure to hog the spotlight—Dorothy would approve!

David Bowie
We’re just going to go ahead and declare that this March is David Bowie Month. Not only is the legendary singer releasing his first album in a decade—titled The Next Day, available March 12th—but The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is also debuting its David Bowie Is exhibition on March 23rd. The latter will include original costumes, handwritten lyrics, photography, set designs, and more, offering a unique retrospective of Bowie’s superstar career. If you can’t make it to the actual exhibit, which runs until August 11th, you can always pre-order the Collector’s Special Edition Book ($516), signed by the one-and-only Thin White Duke himself.

M2MAlletier Amour Bag ($1700, 212.524.9770)
Though only a few months old, it’s only a matter of time before luxury handbag line M2MAlletier is the brand everyone’s talking about. The brainchild of design duo Melissa Losado and Marcela Velez, M2MAlletier focuses on creating innovative bags with a nod to architectural and medieval elements. The debut Amour bag—now a brand signature—is the epitome of modern minimalism with its structured shape and “needle” handle. Though an investment, the bag is just as much a collector’s item as it is a stylish accompaniment.

River Island x Rihanna
Rihanna is recognized as much for her addicting dance tracks as her envelope-pushing style, so it makes sense that her next big career move was in fashion. For the S/S 13 season, the songstress teamed up with British brand River Island to release a line of clothing and accessories. The collection, which made its debut at London Fashion Week last month and launches globally on March 5th, captures the essence of Rihanna’s signature sensibilities—edgy with a jolt of sexiness—by way of belly-baring crop tops, skirts with thigh-high slits, and lace-up ankle boots, with prices ranging from $45 to $350. We imagine these pieces will go quickly, so be sure to visit River Island stores, RiverIsland.com, and Opening Ceremony’s New York store before it’s too late.

Dior Addict Ultra Gloss ($28 each) in Delice, Spring Ball, and Princess
Dior's relaunching their best-selling Addict Lip Gloss in 24 new colors with three shine levels: sparkling (glittery finish), pearly (pearlescent sheen), and pure (no glitter, just gloss). Their new formula features a mirror-shine effect, meaning the crystalline micro-particles actually slide under the glass micro-beads to evenly distribute the light (most shiny lip glosses depend on fractured light reflection). Look out for the Steven Meisel-lensed campaign starring Daphne Groeneveald, sure to be everywhere this spring.
