Love to Wear All Black? Olivia Palermo Says Try This Shade Instead

Could blue be the new black? According to Pantone and Olivia Palermo, it might be. The style blogger was out in NYC recently sporting a navy ensemble that made a case for Pantone's fall 2016 shade, Riverside, a beautiful dark blue that can easily be your new favorite neutral.

She might be a New Yorker, but Palermo opted to forgo the head-to-toe-black outfit for a monochrome navy look. Her neutral alternative to the color black made the pieces in her ensemble feel fresh and her style elevated. So how does one pull off a navy fall look à la Palermo? Create balance by choosing a printed top and solid-colored bottoms. The stylish star went a step further by matching her printed top to her jacket and paired them with cropped trousers. She decided to add chunky black boots for contrast and kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing only her wedding ring.
