Kendall Jenner recently confessed on her site that the oldest thing hiding in her closet is from when she was a baby. “My mom was always really good about keeping stuff,” she wrote. “So, I have a little pair of Burberry boots and this pink Powerpuff Girls shirt that I would wear every single night to sleep.” The nostalgic graphic tee was oversize when she first acquired it at age six or seven but now it fits perfectly, though admittedly has “many holes from how many years I’ve had it,” Jenner notes. “I will always cherish that shirt because of soooo many happy memories.”
OG industry tastemaker Iris Apfel undoubtedly has a treasure trove of fashion finds to discover in her closet, but the oldest (and most cherished) item will melt your heart. “I still have the dress I wore on my first date with [my husband] Carl, 68 years ago,” she told People. “It still fits, it’s a Norell, and I love it dearly.”
The French-American model allowed British Vogue a peek into her closet and shared her most covetable pieces and favorite finds. When asked what piece she’d save if there was a fire, Rowe pulled out a tattered navy sweater that had clearly seen its fair share of years. “This thing,” she confessed, holding up the holey number. “It’s so gross. Look how disgusting that is!” Still, the tremendous wear was just a sign of her love. “It’s my favorite thing,” she said affectionally before pulling it on.
