Anyone who knows me knows I like to have a good time. If I’m being honest, I love to be social—what sounds better than getting all dressed up with your friends, having drinks, and meeting new people in New York City? I’m one of those "I can sleep when I’m dead” types of people. After all, I didn’t move to New York at 20 years old to not experience all that the city has to offer—including great restaurants, bars, nightlife, and people. New York is the perfect place for a person like me who’s young, ambitious, stylish, and in the mood to dance and celebrate life.

That being said, when I go out, I like to make sure my looks are 10/10. It’s just not in my nature to not have a showstopping outfit, and for 2023, it’s my mission to make sure this is my most stylish year yet. I have been scouring the internet for outfit inspiration that excites me about dressing for the new year, and five looks stood out to me above the rest.

Keep scrolling to check out which chic outfits I’ll be taking with me into 2023.

Matching Sets

I love, and I mean, love a good matching set. They’re no-brainers when it comes to party/night-out dressing and styling them is so easy since the top and bottoms already match. I wore this green matching set from Rezek Studio to a night of events and a dinner and gained so many compliments.

Lots of Leather

A leather look is a go-to for me when I’m thinking about a night-out look. Leather or faux leather always looks cool and a little bit badass. I love this leather Dion Lee look on Emma above—it’s so good.

Little Black Dress

The LBD has been deemed the go-to look for all women for a night out, and I have to say that when it comes to this classic outfit, I’m such a fan. There’s something about the simple sexiness of a little black dress that you just can never really go wrong.

High-Slit Maxi Skirt

Any chance to show a little leg, I’m into it. I’ve been seeing so many people style maxi skirts for a night out and I’m loving it. I like how Cass styled her maxi skirt with a crop top and strappy sandals—the perfect casual yet elevated night-out look.

Sequin Miniskirts

I’m not sure what it is about this year, but I am obsessed with sequins suddenly. They’re so fun, and to me, a sparkly miniskirt is a perfect piece for dancing the night away with your friends. I really love styling an attention-grabbing piece of clothing like a sequin mini and pairing it with something classic and simple like a cropped button-down or fitted baby tee.
