Spring 2018's Biggest Trends, as Predicted by Moschino Resort
Whenever Moschino and Jeremey Scott put on a fashion show, you know it's going to be wild. His latest production, the Moschino Resort 18 show held in Hollywood last night, was no exception to the rule. His inspiration came from the idea of a road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in all its Western glory. Think desert and open road, flames and oil, midcentury motels, cowhide motifs, prairie-inspired getups, motocross, and biker culture in general. In a nutshell, it was as if Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas came to life in the form of a fashion show. Top models from Miranda Kerr to Joan Smalls, Stella Maxwell, and Hailey Baldwin walked while It girls and celebrities like Kaia Gerber (whose brother walked for the men's show), Rita Ora, and Ashley Graham were in attendance.

Streetwear has been huge in recent seasons, from Vetements's entire line to the return of hoodies and logo tees. Moschino took the theme up a notch with motocross-inspired elements, from cartoon-emblazoned flames to moto jackets, lace-up pants, and biker motifs. If nothing else, we expect to see the rise of flame-emblazoned separates on cool girls this spring.
PRAIRE-INSPIRED DOUBLE DENIM
Praire-inspired denim on denim abounded at the resort show. With feminine patchwork details, the look is part pioneer woman, part modern working woman (we're getting Dolly Parton vibes from 9 to 5). Deconstructed, patchwork denim with unique details has been so popular the last few seasons, and we like this Americana twist on the trend.
