We must confess that we¬'ve been terribly suffering from model fatigue. While yes, we adore Kate Moss and Gisele, we¬'re always ready for someone new to come along and shake us out of our boredom. Thankfully, relief was recently delivered via our Model of the Moment¬--the lovely Julia Dunstall.
Dunstall hails from one our favorite model-raising locales (Canada) and just might be able to fill the footprints of her fellow countrywomen Linda Evangelista, Shalom Harlow, and Daria Werbowy. She¬'s only been modeling for two years this April, and is already a seasoned catwalker,
For the Spring 2007 shows (New York, Paris, and Milan), Dunstall showed for Proenza, Luella, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Pucci, Gucci, Burberry, Chloe, Stella, Balenciaga, Lagerfeld, and Lanvin¬--and this is a brief overview, believe it or not! This past February she was out again for the Fall 2007 shows, hitting up many of the same designers as listed above, and added even more fashion houses to her dance card.
Right now Dunstall can be seen in Bottega Veneta, Lacoste, and the Gap¬'s spring campaigns. Not just limited to walking or editorial, she¬'s also the face of the Neiman Marcus beauty campaign. We of WhoWhatWearDaily are Dunstall fans in part to her incredible personal style. As seen here, she¬'s often spotted in thrashed, tomboyish Chucks, destroyed tights, and interesting accessories¬--perhaps an unexpected belt here or a pair of suspenders there. Another seemingly obvious observation, but strangely unique in this day and age, that makes us applaud the darling Dunstall? She smiles, and that, dear readers, is never a tired trend.
