Before today, we knew very little about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding day, aside from the official date and location: May 19, 2018, at St. George's Chapel. But early this morning, Kensington Palace released a series of tweets divulging important new details surrounding the couple's special day, from the time the wedding will take place to the succession of events that will follow.

The highly anticipated wedding service will begin at 12 p.m. London time (so mark that in your calendar as 7 a.m. ET) in the St. George's Chapel, with the Archbishop of Canterbury officiating. Following the ceremony, Markle and Prince Harry will take a carriage procession from the chapel through Windsor Town, returning to Windsor Castle along the Long Walk.

"They hope this short journey will provide an opportunity for more people to come together around Windsor and to enjoy the atmosphere of this special day," Kensington Palace tweeted.

Two receptions will follow the service (and the carriage concession), the first of which will take place at St. George's Hall and will welcome the guests from the congregation. The second, more private reception of the evening will be given by Harry's father, Prince Charles, and will include only close friends and family of the couple. Now, read on to see the official Kensington Palace announcement and for a peek inside the beautiful wedding service venue.
