Considering her rapid rise to fame, and the grueling schedule of appearances, it is particularly remarkable that Nyong’o has consistently knocked it out of the park. Here are our favorite red carpet moments thus far.

To accept the Best Supporting Actress statue at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Nyong’o chose a custom-made turquoise Gucci gown with an intricate floral neckline. She wisely kept her Fred Leighton jewelry minimal, so as not to compete with the bold neckline.

At the Golden Globe Awards, Nyong’o stunned in Ralph Lauren’s red Audrey Cape Evening Gown ($7000). With a silhouette this bold, Nyong’o needed only a hint of lip color and classic Fred Leighton jewelry.

At the 2013 BAFTA Los Angeles Brittania Awards in November Nyong’o opted for a delicate Lanvin Floor-Length Draped Stretch Dress ($4395) in Black and Cream. Given her typical affinity for bright colors and strong silhouettes, this showed a softer side of her style aesthetic.
