This Classic Italian Brand Is Making a Chic Comeback
Chic comeback: Italian brand Bruno Magli has enlisted the help of Lucy Liu to relaunch its women's line. Not only does Liu star in the new fall 2016 campaign, but the actress also collaborated with Magli on a pair of shoes named after her, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting UNICEF. "I was so honored to be asked to be part of Bruno Magli's creative team for this campaign," Liu told Who What Wear of the collaboration. "Having the women's line return to the United States after a three-year hiatus is so exciting, and I wanted to create a pair of shoes with widespread appeal that many women would want to incorporate into their closets."
Liu also elaborated on how she went about creating her namesake shoe style: "I love Bruno Magli's classic pointy pumps, so I wanted to maintain that design but add the unexpected fun of having the heel in a different color," she told us. "This aspect can be readapted in different color combinations as fashions evolve. This project is especially important to me, as it allowed me to direct a portion of the proceeds to UNICEF to aid their work in providing lifesaving resources to children in dire need all over the world."
