Sandro

There are a handful of cult labels that the fashion world's particularly dedicated to and today's Line We Love focuses on one of those storied brands: Sandro. Much like Maje, Zadig & Voltaire, and Isabel Marant, this French line is known for epitomizing a certain sort of Parisian chicness-think: a little boyish, yet also a smidge insouciant and edgy-that drives stylephiles like Alexa Chung and Dree Hemingway crazy. Founded in 1984 by Evelyne Chetrite and her entrepreneur husband Didier, the brand's done incredibly well-there are over 140 international stores-and now Sandro's finally opening their first U.S. shop in the West Village next week. If you can't wait or don't want to make the pilgrimage to the Bleecker Street store (212.510.8390), fret not because Sandro's currently stocked at Bloomingdale's in New York City and is also available on Net-A-Porter.com. In celebration of Sandro's stateside debut, we've rounded up a few of our favorite items from their fall collection. Read on for more details and be sure to visit the New York store soon!

Striped Silk Flared Shirt with Bow ($340)
You surely have some silk button-ups in your closet, but somehow we have a feeling that they don't look like this one! With its richly hued colorblocking and crisp white collar, this blouse offers a sophisticated take on the classic rugby shirt. If you like the colorblocking, but are more in the market for knitwear, check out the Sabre Fine-Knit Sweater ($250) instead.

Wool Tweed Deep V-Neck Dress ($320, 212.705.2000)
We love the minimalist-meets-mod look of this charcoal tweed dress and think it would make a perfect layering piece. Style it with a classic white button-down-perhaps the Ecru Silk Top ($195)?-opaque tights, and oxfords for the perfect late-fall look.

Angora Beret ($110, 212.705.2000) in Animal Print
What would a French brand be without an incredible chic beret? Sandro takes this stereotypical item and turns it into something irresistible by creating a lovely leopard iteration in super-soft angora. Talk about tres chic! If you like animal prints, but prefer them in the form of some other accessory, you're sure to love the Leopard-Print Bag ($400), which is also quite cool.

Wool 7/8 Trousers ($320, 212.705.2000) in Camel
We've been on the lookout for the perfect pair of cropped pants and voila! We have found them! These above-the-ankle trousers are perfect for work or play; simply style them with a printed sweater for day, then pair them with a lace blouse and pointy pumps for a more cocktail-friendly look!

Studded Leather Belt with Bow Detail ($155) in Black
Is it possible to resist the siren's song of this perfectly executed black belt? We think not-in fact, it just might be the ideal option for a downtown lady! The bow is sweet, but thanks to the tiny silver studs, it's not saccharine. Wear it with an otherwise girly frock or use it to rein in a longer cardigan, either way, it's a must buy!

Two-Tone Platform Leather Shoes ($565, 212.705.2000)
We're always fans of wedge shoes, so imagine our delight when we spotted these crepe-soled platform shoe boots! They're a total hybrid of form and function, plus we adore their stitched white leather detailing.

Pique Cotton Dress with Removable Collar ($320, 212.705.2000)
If you're looking for a dress that's both fit for a siren and a schoolgirl, the search ends here. This slim cotton dress is decidedly flirty (hello red!), but it also comes with a white collar that you can attach for a little additional sweetness. Even better: it's also available in a black wool version with a leather collar!
