California, with its optimistic, laid-back lifestyle and stunning coastal landscapes, has served as a muse to many designers; however, no brand captures the enticing spirit of our home state quite like Clover Canyon. Though still a newbie by definition--the brand launched just a year ago as the lower-priced alternative to veteran designer Rozae Nichols' namesake line--Clover Canyon has already seen a great deal of success, and is even expanding to include a collection of swimwear and cover-ups, which will hit stores next spring! With easygoing, hand-cut designs and dynamic digital prints, Clover Canyon's visually captivating aesthetic offers a fun, fearless, and truly unique take on effortless dressing that simply cannot be ignored. For summer, Clover Canyon ticks all of our warm-weather fashion boxes: softly tailored silhouettes, contemporary motifs, and hot hues. To further illustrate this, we've rounded up our four favorite pieces from the collection, so read on after the jump for all the details and check out our exclusive Q&A with the designer below!
Tropical Diamond Pants ($260)
We've come across a slew of printed silk trousers this season, but this CC pair has to be one of our favorites. The mélange of punchy hues in a mirrored floral print give the pants a striking and bold look suited for a resort getaway or chic poolside fete. As for an appropriate footwear pairing, we asked the designer, and she said she'd wear them with stacked huarache sandals-a smart styling choice indeed.
Dutch Wallpaper Top ($195) in Multi
Thanks to the juxtaposed wallpaper prints and asymmetrical cut, this sleeveless top is sure to turn heads wherever you go. Perfect for adding a touch of modernity and interest to a pair of white jeans or black mini skirt, consider this your next closet go-to-it's already ours!
Passion Flower Skirt
Though the Passion Flower Skirt shown above was never produced (sigh), here at WWW we believe it still deserves a moment in the spotlight. Happily, this isn't the only piece in the S/S 12 collection featuring that amazing tropical motif! The Printed Crepe de Chine Shorts ($135) are every bit as delightful as the skirt, and with a slightly sporty cut and drawstring waist, are perfect for a sun-drenched casual weekend outing.
Hang Ten Dress ($212) in Green
It's obvious that the Hang Ten Dress is a visual delight-the combination of the palm tree and multicolored horizontal stripes feels so fun and fresh for summer-but what we really love about this frock is its streamlined silhouette; it hugs the body in all the right places. Bonus points are awarded for its versatility, as you can wear it to the office with a blazer and pointed-toe pumps, then swap in a chic clutch and strappy sandals when the sun goes down.
