The Only 6 Shoe Trends to Try This Spring, From Lauren
With a new season on the horizon, it’s easy to get lost in a shopping frenzy—and for good reason. S/S 17 is shaping up to be super chic, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t stocking up on some of the coveted trends. With styles leaning toward bell sleeves, cold shoulders, and raw denim hems, it’s easy to load up that online shopping cart in the blink of an eye. One particular item that’s taking spring fashion to the next level is shoes. That’s right, this season’s shoe game is strong. With an overwhelming amount of shoes on the market, I thought I’d use this month’s Who What Wear column to highlight the top six trends that are worth adding to your closet. With these styles on your shoe rack, you’ll be set all the way through spring and well into summer.

Flats will forever be my go-to shoes. They’re perfect for running around town or slipping on for just about any occasion. D’Orsay flats are a more elevated version of my everyday favorites. They have a ladylike charm that I can’t resist. Below are some of my favorite styles (I love a good scallop or bow!).
If you want to invest in one sandal that will last you throughout spring and summer, slides are for you. The comfort level of these shoes is through the roof, and I love how every pair has its own personality. Every day feels like spring break in these gems.
This year has certainly seen the rise of the flat mule trend. The fun thing about these shoes is that they come in all heights and textures, and they look flattering on just about everyone.
When it comes to trendy spring shoes, slip-on sneakers have to be the most comfortable. Sneakers will forever be synonymous with casual coolness, making them the ideal shoe for dressing up or down. Try them with your favorite pair of distressed denim or even with a pretty spring dress. You certainly can’t go wrong.
Since most of the styles that I’ve mentioned above are relatively flat, these strappy heel options will be your go-to event shoes. Strappy heels are practically begging to be worn to spring weddings, showers, and everywhere in between. (Plus, they’d pair perfectly with my brand new LC Lauren Conrad Dress Up Shop Collection!)
Low Block Heels
Last but not least, we have low block heels. I know that I’ve highlighted block heels before (in this post specifically), but they’ve proven to be a lasting trend. I love these next few feminine styles, and I can’t wait to wear them out and about myself.
Which one of these styles is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
