This Runway Show Created the Ultimate Model Apartment

Gina Marinelli

On the first day of Fashion Week, lingerie brand La Perla made a good first impression. The runway was filled to the brim with both of-the-moment style stars and iconic supermodels (see: Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Liu Wen, Lindsey Wixson, Joan Smalls, and Jourdan Dunn, to name a few). It also featured a set that begged the question: What if they all lived under the same roof?

Called La Perla Manor, the stage of last night's show was made to look like the ultimate dream home, complete with a library, frame-lined walls, and fresh flowers filling the balcony. Consider it a major upgrade from a cramped model apartment you might find in NYC (or anyone's apartment in NYC, for that matter).

And for the 20 or so minutes that the women took to the runway in La Perla's latest wares—Jenner in a sparkly naked dress, Campbell in a royal-blue negligee and matching coat—it had us wondering what would it look like if these two were roommates? And how many closets would a home like this have? We can't say we have the answers, but we can appreciate a brand that cheekily sparks our curiosity.
