This Might Be Our Favourite Duchess of Cambridge Outfit This Year

The Duchess of Cambridge made her first public appearance since announcing her third pregnancy in early September. Attending an event at Buckingham Palace for World Mental Health Day, Kate turned to one of her favourite British labels Temperley London and wore a beautiful blue lace dress with black ribbon at the ruffled collar and cuffs and a pleated skirt. She paired her dress, which is £795 and still in stock on Net-a-Porter, with a pair of classic black heels and a black clutch bag.

Recently, Kate has been making more fashion-forward choices wearing unexpected London Fashion Week, designers such as Simone Rocha and Barbara Cassola, and experimenting with new silhouettes. And this is another choice that will please the fashion crowd.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme morning sickness, and so hasn't been attending public events during her pregnancy. Last night's event is especially close to the family's heart, as Middleton, Prince William, and Prince Harry are the forces behind the UK-based mental health initiative Heads Together

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
