Best Gift Idea: The Fairy-Tale Book That Inspires Karl Lagerfeld

Fashion girls are seriously the hardest the shop for. We know because we're just as guilty! Luckily, since it takes one to know one, we came up with a unique find to give to the cool girl in your life: a fairy-tale book called East of the Sun and West of the Moon. Before you ask, here's the backstory: This beautifully illustrated publication is the inspiration behind Fendi's magical 90th-anniversary runway show that was hosted at the newly renovated Trevi fountain in Rome. The show was fittingly dubbed Legends and Fairy Tales after Karl Lagerfeld found inspiration in this collection of Norwegian folklore, originally written by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Engebretsen Moe and later reprinted with the work of Danish artist Kay Nielsen. The illustrations alone are beautiful enough to give to any creative in your life, but the connection to the fashion world really seals the deal for us.
