As 2017 winds down, the time has come to take stock of the past year in fashion. Some trends will continue to grow into 2018, but others we're ready to retire. For designer Johanna Ortiz, the spring and summer ahead are already in focus. According to Ortiz, "versatility for any destination, season and situation," are the things she's looking forward to in the year ahead. "It's about the effortless authenticity and elevated style," she says. Ortiz also notes that she's ready to retire overtly branded pieces, revealing, "I think I'm done with logomania."

Regarding her forthcoming collection, Ortiz highlights the importance of versatility, even with luxury designs. She describes the collection as "between elegant and festive," noting that she can envision women wearing pieces somewhere tropical "drinking punch by the sunset." Sound enticing? You can shop the pieces now on Moda Operandi, so get a head start on your vacation-wear below with a few of our favorites!
