J.K. Rowling Wrote a New, Unpublished Story on a Dress

It sounds like something out of Harry Potter: A secret, unpublished book appears on the façade of a party dress. If you can read it in passing, great, but otherwise, consider yourself out of luck, and the story disappears forever. But this is no wizard tale; this is a book that J.K. Rowling has written, and it lives in her closet.

In a recent interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Rowling revealed that during a recent birthday party, the theme of the evening was for guests to come dressed as their own worst nightmares. Twisted? A bit. But Rowley took the opportunity to write the near entirety of a manuscript on her party look, signifying the horrifying possibility of ever losing her work. “I don’t know whether it will ever be published, but it’s actually hanging in a wardrobe currently,” the author told Amanpour.

Here’s hoping that if Rowley’s work is never seen in print, maybe Emma Watson can borrow said party dress for a future red carpet event.
