Our Favorite French It Girl Launched a Clothing Line

Allyson Payer

When we think of cool French style, Jeanne Damas immediately comes to mind. A fashion icon, as far as we’re concerned, Damas is a model, former blogger, and now full-time designer (more on that in a bit). To paint a picture, the quintessential Parisian girl regularly draws comparisons to American fashion icon Jane Birkin.

Damas, who can regularly be spotted on the front rows of Paris Fashion Week, has previous design experience under her belt as well, having launched a successful collaboration with Reformation last year. Perhaps it was that toe dip that encouraged Damas to create her own line, Rouje. The first collection finally launched yesterday, with a lust-worthy set of Parisian basics including miniskirts, a subtle graphic tee, dark-wash flares, and floral-print frocks—all hallmarks of Damas’s impeccable, sophisticated style. It comes as no surprise that many of the pieces are already selling out.
