The Only Color You Need for Fall, According to J.Crew

Erin Fitzpatrick

J.Crew has two words for you this fall: Think pink. The brand's latest campaign, launching today, is chock-full of different ways to wear the cheery hue. Just how pink-obsessed is the brand right now? Well, J.Crew's in-house library has over 200 custom shades of pink—yes really!

To get the scoop on the new wares, we went straight to the source and chatted with J.Crew's head of women's design, Somsack Sikhounmuong, who also shared an exclusive sketch of the collection for Who What Wear readers. So what did we glean from our interview? For starters, pink is not as hard to pull off as you might think, but you should consider the fabric if you're more of a neutrals person. "A bright neon pink in a silk twill is much brighter than in a garment dye tee, which is more weathered," he told Who What Wear. "Depending on your level of commitment, the texture is very important." Sikhounmuong also dished on his favorite color combos, style tricks to keep in mind, and more.
