15 Reasons Jared Leto Should Be Every Woman's Style Icon

Meghan Blalock

Jared Leto is having a moment. In the world of male celebrities, which seems increasingly populated by those trying to gain attention by strange performance art and outrageous social media tactics (see: Shia LeBouf, James Franco and Joaquin Phoenix), Leto stands apart from the crowd—a formerly long-haired beauty, with a forward-thinking, techie attitude and a penchant for leather leggings.

As we've seen, Leto's Instagram is an endlessly entertaining feed of selfies, deep musings on life, and, yes, even a hint of the avant-garde. In four days, he's launching his own video streaming website called VyRT, which he will use to converse with fans of his band, 30 Seconds to Mars. He's an Oscar winner, a regular at Coachella, and, in the hearts of millions of My So-Called Life fans, will forever be known as Jordan Catalano.

But to us, he's nothing short of a style icon. The fact that he's a man has absolutely nothing to do with our obsession with him and our lust for his entire wardrobe. And it makes sense—the stylists he's worked with include the Bartoli sisters, who also dress some of our other favorite icons (Miranda Kerr, Chrissy Teigen, and Nicole Richie, among others), as well as Lupita Nyong'o's stylist Micaela Erlanger, and Ilaria Urbinati.
