How a Major Designer Made Dresses Dissolve on the Paris Runway

There are a few select designers out there who are always aiming to evolve the meaning of the word fashion, approaching the art of design from a completely different perspective. Parisian designer Hussein Chalayan is one of them, with a proven track record of incorporating modern technological and scientific elements into his work.

For his S/S 16 collection, Chalayan sent two models down the runway wearing seemingly normal crisp white shirtdresses. The models paused, and a downpour started; soon, their dresses completely dissolved off their bodies, revealing glittering minidresses underneath in an utterly captivating display.
