Under $60: The Pieces Style Stars Are Going Crazy For

Christine Andrew of Hello Fashion is known as a “mompreneur,” but she’s also a bona fide style star with over 859k Instagram followers who worship her love of the high/low mix. The Utah-based blogger has an eye for curating outfits that embrace both seasoned investment pieces and wallet-friendly takes on of-the-moment trends.

“I’m the biggest advocate for mixing high-end and budget-friendly items,” she explains. “Shopping at different levels gives your wardrobe a lot more flexibility. When you pair higher-end items with fast-fashion or chain-store pieces, 99% of the time, the more affordable things look just as expensive as the rest of your outfit.” To show us how it’s done, Andrew styled two spring-ready outfits that incorporate affordable Candie’s pieces along with luxury items.

Check out her must-have spring looks—we bet you can’t tell the investment items from the steals.

"I like to mix feminine and sporty pieces,” says Andrew. "I’m obsessed with the tie-sleeve detailing on this striped top, and I really wanted it to be the focal point of the outfit. That’s why I kept everything else low-key with a denim jumper and a bomber jacket.”

If your style typically leans on neutrals, consider embracing the must-have mini-bag trend—the smaller in size the better (and the perfect way to incorporate embellished details like tassels). "Bags are one of my favorite ways to bring in a pop of color,” explains Andrew.

For her second look, Andrew styled an outfit that’s ideal for transitional dressing. "Layering a dress over jeans is a fresh and effortless combination you can wear in-between seasons,” she notes. Even better? Adding in a fresh take on florals. "Garden-party details are big for spring, and right now, I can’t get enough of it,” says Andrew, reminding us that she likes to experiment with a trend before seriously investing.

Andrew tells us these black sandals belong in every fashion girl’s wardrobe—the ankle strap and block heel mean they’re as on trend as they are practical. "You’ll wear them with everything and can mix and match them with any number of pieces, so youll get even more bang from your buck,” she tells us.
