Fashion month is always a huge source of inspiration on and off the runways. After it's over, we editors excitedly analyze all the standout styles and trends that we predict will be huge in the months to come.

There were plenty of statement trends and looks that stimulated our sartorial senses on the recent fall/winter 2023 runways (think: fiery red, fishnet tights, and glistening metallics), but there's one humble item that made a surprising and lasting impression on us—hoodies. We were particularly drawn to the hoodie outfits spotted on the Miu Miu runway. Plain T-shirts and knits were styled with zip-up hoodies and jackets, creating a layered look that is so easy to imitate. The brand provided plenty of fresh ideas for how to wear the casual basic that most of us already own. (Styling the staple with undies as they did is, of course, optional). All our editors have been utterly fascinated with these Miu Miu hoodie looks, and the allure lies in the fact they're so darn easy and affordable to copy.

Not only was the basic omnipresent on the runways, but hoodies were also spotted among the street style set, styled with everything from full skirts to edgy, oversize leather jackets. It's safe to say that the casual, cool, and affordable basic is ruling in 2023. Get inspired by how fashion people are wearing hoodies now and shop our favorite styles below.

Miu Miu proves just how effortlessly cool a zip-up hoodie can be when styled over neutral knits and layered under a boxy beige blazer. (Pants are optional!)

Give a bold and vibrant hoodie a polished touch and style with an of-the-moment full skirt and pointed-toe wedges.

There's no cooler combo than a hoodie and an oversize leather jacket. Dress up the casual look with heeled knee-high leather boots.

Okay, we love the idea of styling a statement sequin skirt with a contrasting casual hoodie. It's a fashionable juxtaposition that will get you all the likes on Insta.

Yes, a hoodie can look luxe. Opt for a classic black knit style and wear it under a tailored vest. A midi skirt and pretty Mary Janes will add a polished touch.

A vibrant blue hoodie is the perfect way to make an all-black ensemble pop. Kudos if you can match your hoodie to your sneakers.

Style an oversize leather jacket, relaxed jeans, and New Balance sneakers with your zip-up hoodie for an off-duty look that's simple yet stylish.

As the temps warm up, the coolest way to wear your hoodie is with belted denim shorts. A smart oversize blazer and loafers will pull the look together. Fun and chic.
