It's the worst feeling, walking out the door in this season's coolest shoes only to make it four blocks before developing painful blisters. Closed-toe mules may be on everyone's must-have list, but wearing them with bare feet can have some painful repercussions.

Luckily, there's an easy trick for pulling off this season's It shoes totally pain-free. Instead of wearing your closed-toe mules sans socks, get crafty. Slide on a pair of socks and then fold them so that your toes are protected but the socks are hidden. That way, no matter how much walking (or dancing) you do, your feet will be blister-free.
