This Major Retailer Just Launched an Aeroplane Fashion Channel

In many ways, fashion TV seems like a thing of the past—there’s just nothing quite like the ‘90s classic House of Style today, nor are any current reality series as addictive as the ‘00s fashion-centric The Rachel Zoe Project or The City. But Holt Renfrew, Canada’s premiere luxury retailer, is hoping to change that with today’s announcement that they’ll be launching their own fashion channel on all Air Canada flights starting September 1st. Although the airline factor certainly makes for limited viewing, it is true that the majority of us get our TV fix while travelling these days.

So what can we expect from the channel? According to WWD, the brand “produced a series of documentaries that offer a behind-the-scenes look at the worlds of luxury, style and fashion.” Twenty videos, to be exact, with the first instalment including a runway-to-reality themed film with Fendi and an inside look at the making of Holt Renfrew’s fall magazine. Consider us intrigued—and planning our next trip to Canada. But, in case that’s just not in the cards, some of the videos will also be shared across the brand’s digital and social media channels. Unique and accessible? We approve!
