Have You Noticed This Trend in H&M's Shoe Section?

Michelle Scanga

Take a scroll through H&M's shoe section and you'll quickly learn the fast-fashion site has swapped high-heel sandals for the term "sandalettes." We first thought it was just the style name of these satin sandals, but since we were curious, we typed the word into the site's search bar and learned that the brand refers to all strappy sandals with a heel as ''sandalettes" online.

If you're familiar with French, you'll realize the word sounds and looks quite similar to the French word for sandals: sandeles. We're into the term H&M has coined for its summer heels. Plus, it's fun to say—just try it.

Scroll down to see and shop H&M's sandalettes.
