M.I.A. and H&M have teamed up in a major way for the company’s first-ever World Recycle Week. To raise awareness for the global garment-collecting movement—which aims to gather 1000 tons of unwanted clothes from its stores worldwide—M.I.A. created an exclusive music video featuring a wide range of must-see influencers showing their support for the cause. The initiative is part of H&M’s larger Close the Loop program, which promotes the recycling of old clothes to create fibers for new products.
How can you get involved? All you have to do is collect the pieces you wish to donate and drop them off at your local H&M store between April 18–24. This is an easy way to refresh your closet for the season AND make an impact. Plus, H&M is giving anyone who donates during the World Recycle Week period a 30% coupon for a future purchase. What more could you ask for?
Watch M.I.A.’s video below to learn more about how to “rehaul” your wardrobe and participate in H&M’s global cause.
