The Young Designer H&M Is Betting On

Imagine you're a 25-year-old designer fresh out of school and you land a gig with none other than H&M. It sounds like a pipe dream, right? Well, that's exactly the scenario Hannah Jinkins has found herself in back in December. That's when the Royal College of Art graduate won the prestigious H&M Design Award, the prize for which included the opportunity to sell her collection at the Swedish retailer. Now, we have our first look at her line, which will be available to shop on October 20.

"I've had such an incredible experience creating this collection together with H&M," Jinkins said in a statement. "I've learned so much, and it's amazing to see the pieces for H&M being so true to my winning collection." The retailer is just as excited to welcome Jinkins aboard. In a press release, H&M's creative adviser Ann-Sofie Johansson had nothing but positive things to say about the young designer. "I am so excited about Hannah's collection for H&M. She thinks in a totally fresh way about women's fashion, creating pieces that have a real energy and authenticity," she said.
