H&M's Conscious Line Is Arriving Just in Time for Wedding Season

Adrianna Barrionuevo

H&M is known as a longtime champion of bridging the gap between fashion and sustainability. Beyond the brand's popular Conscious collection, 26% of its offerings are made using eco-friendly, sustainable materials—a number the retailer hopes to continue to increase every year, with plans to ensure 100% of its cotton supply is sustainable by 2020. Fashion-wise, the Swedish brand is upping the ante this season, with the addition of the Conscious Exclusive collection that will offer a higher-end range of party-ready dresses and separates in addition to menswear, a fragrance, and a childrenswear debut.

Model Natalia Vodianova fronts the campaign, wherein she wears a pleated pink gown constructed using Bionic polyester, which is made entirely from recycled shoreline plastic. Vodianova also models screen-printed cocktail dresses featuring peonies and mimosas, a glitzy glitter-laden minidress, and our favorite: the reimagined tuxedo. The sleek menswear-inspired two-piece—a belted, robe-like jacket with romantic ruffled trousers—is made using silk and Tencel twill. Come April 20, just in time for wedding season, you'll be able to shop the under-$250 collection. Besides, any of these stylish, eco-friendly fashion statements will make for a great conversation starter at your next party.
