You'll Never Guess What This H&M Dress Is Made Out Of

In the modern fashion world, sustainability is a hot topic a lot of brands are trying to work toward. One company on the forefront, surprisingly, is also one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world—H&M. For its latest Conscious Collection, it has taken things to the next level.

The key piece in the collection is the dreamiest pastel pink gown. As gorgeous as it is, you wouldn't believe what it's made out of. It's a new material H&M created called Bionic, which is essentially a polyester fabric made from—get this—plastic shoreline waste. To us, the dress is that much more beautiful knowing it was made in such an environmentally responsible manner.

Scroll on to see the dress and its story for yourself, then be sure to shop the full collection when it drops in stores and online on April 20.
