We're Hiring: Fashion And Editorial Interns

Who What Wear is currently seeking interns for Fall 2014 and beyond! We are looking for motivated candidates who have a strong interest in fashion and trends, as well as a wide knowledge of online stores, celebrities, and tastemakers. We are looking for individuals who are efficient and proactive with exceptional taste. Please be prepared to work hard, wear many different hats, and learn about all aspects of this online fashion magazine! Internships in both the Fashion and Editorial department are currently available.

 

Editorial Intern Responsibilities:

— Pitching ideas and writing original stories for Who What Wear

— Helping the editorial team build and produce stories in Who What Wear's Content Management System

— Assisting the editorial team in finding stylish and shoppable product for stories, as well as general research

— Assisting with photo research

— Working with the editorial team to write and produce daily content, including pitching ideas for new and interesting recurring series that are a good editorial fit for Who What Wear

— Keeping a trained and unwavering eye on fashion and celebrity news to contribute to daily news content

— Helping with day-to-day Who What Wear operations including administrative duties

 

Fashion Intern Responsibilities:

— Assisting with all stages of photo shoot prep including research, requests, and stylist support

— Maintaining organization of fashion closet and incoming/outgoing samples

— Assisting on set of in-house photo shoots and occasionally on location

— Assisting with photo, celebrity, and product research

— Pitching and potentially producing content for WhoWhatWear.com

— Working with the fashion department on market work as well as keeping an eye on any up-and-coming brands or trends

— Helping with day-to-day Who What Wear operations including administrative duties

 

Qualifications:

—Must be interested, knowledgeable, and ready to learn about all aspects of the fashion industry (brands, designers, business models)

—Must be extremely resourceful with a can-do attitude that thrives in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment

—Must have the ability to work calmly under pressure, and meet tight deadlines

—Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment

—Must be flexible and have the ability to take direction well, but also have the ability to work proactively and provide self-direction

—Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

—Must be comfortable using Excel, Powerpoint and MS Word

—Must be Internet savvy

 

Candidates must be enrolled in school at the time of their internship and should be able to commit to 2-3 full days a week for a minimum of four months. Who What Wear is located in Los Angeles and candidates must currently be in school.
