Hervé Leroux, the man behind iconic brand Hervé Léger, has died at age 60, The Cut reports. The designer founded his brand in 1985 and was most famous for creating the bandage dress, which supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Tyra Banks wore on his runways in the '90s. Stars like Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian West notably wore them in the 2000s as well.

Dita von Teese shared a heartfelt tribute to the designer on her Instagram: "I loved him for his wit, his candor, his sublime elegance and of course his talent, which came from authentic obsession, with no care for the commerciality of fashion," she captioned her photo. "I’m so sad to see him go, and so abruptly. We’ve lost one of the fashion greats."
