Gwyneth Paltrow Is Collaborating With Valentino

There’s big news today for fans of both Gwyneth Paltrow and Valentino, as the actress and lifestyle guru has announced that she’ll collaborate with the fashion house on a holiday collection. What’s more, this marks the first time the storied Italian brand will work with a celebrity in this capacity.

Exclusive to Goop’s impending New York City pop-up shop (“New York Goop Markt”) at the Time Warner Center and Goop.com, the collection is inspired by Wonder Woman, a choice initially made by Valentino designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. “We wanted to give a positive message for women that could be important to speak about now in a fun way,” Chiuri explained to The New York Times. Paltrow concurred: “To me, it’s a fantastic and resonant idea because everybody is working, having kids, trying not to miss a soccer game while at the same time being on a conference call. The modern woman is a wonder woman.”

The 25-piece line will include a star-speckled tulle gown ($8900), studded motorcycle jackets ($10,500), leather bracelets ($275) and more. Cheap gifts, these are not, though aspirational has always been more Goop’s MO.

The pop-up will run from November 23 to December 24, and all products will be sold on Goop.com starting November 23. Might we suggest marking your calendars? This collection is bound to sell out.
