You'll Never Guess Where the Gucci Cruise Show Is Headed Next
Where in the world will Gucci go next? According to Fashionista, the Italian fashion house is headed to a town in Provence, France, on May 30, 2018—specifically the Alyscamps, one of the most well-known Roman necropolises of the ancient world, located just outside of Arles—for its Cruise 19 collection presentation.
The brand's creative director, Alessandro Michele, has frequently expressed his likeness of the classical style, filling his S/S 2018 show location with to-scale replicas of some of the period's most iconic sculptures. So next year's venue is a fitting choice with Michele's affinity for the era, which is sure to shine through the Cruise 19 collection.
The town of choice, Arles, has long inspired the artistic world, serving as the backdrop for famous works by Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin. We're counting down the days to this sure-to-be striking collection debut!
