Musicians' daughters have always been a fascination here at WWW HQ. It started years ago with Sir Paul¬'s wildly talented designing daughter Stella McCartney, followed by a keen interest in other stylish progeny like Georgia May Jagger, the sisters Geldof, Daisy Lowe, Theodora Richards, and Lily Collins. Today we're delighted to add a new member to the stylish-daughter-of-rock-royalty club: Tali Lennox. Unlike the other ladies, Lennox is the daughter of one of the coolest female singers of all time (hello, Annie Lennox!), but her personal style is definitely just as noteworthy. Whether she's glammed up in a gilded number from Dolce & Gabbana, bohemian in a butterfly crochet top and cutoffs, or showing a little rebellious spirit in leather or crop tops, Tali Lennox is definitely on our radar.
The stunning seventeen-year-old model is definitely a diverse dresser who knows how to rock everything from a fancy frock to all-weather leather! Regarding the latter, Lennox was spotted at the British Fashion Council NEWGEN Awards in June looking edgy in a deconstructed red plaid jacket and seriously substantial heels. But what really stole the show was her skater-skirt in this season¬'s coolest material: leather. We love how she paired the standout separates with a basic white t-shirt, and highly recommend you do too. Just make sure you pick up Diane von Furstenberg¬'s McClure Distressed Leather Skirt ($445) for a look-a-like shaped skirt or Robert Rodriguez's Plisse Leather Miniskirt ($418), and pair it with Marc by Marc Jacobs' Rain Snapper Trench-Style Short Jacket ($188) and Camilla Skovgaard's Wedge Ankle Boots ($591) for an equally tough-chic look.
Of course, if you want to turn up the statement-making volume even higher, why not go for the gold, as Lennox did in a Dolce & Gabbana dress for a Fashion Week S/S 10 party in Milan. We¬'ve long been a fan of strong shoulders and peplum, so this dress, which deftly combines the two trends, is a perfect ten. If you want to mimic our GOTM's metallic ensemble, just check out Sandro's Rayonnante Devore Mini Dress ($370) or Brian Lichtenberg's Gold One-Shoulder Glitter Dress ($398); both are snazzy, currently in stock, and significantly less expensive than her exact designer piece.
And while we could wax poetic about Lennox's fancier fare, we are also equally smitten with her laidback, insouciant looks. For example, at the London launch of MAHIKI & Gallo Rose's summer pop-up shop a few months ago, Lennox opted for a knotted gingham top, which she smartly paired with slim-silhouetted trousers and killer platforms for a flirty, pseudo-fifties look. To emulate this va-va-va-voom ensemble, try Guess' Lizel Cropped Plaid Top ($26) with black skinnies, such as Blank Denim's Back Zipper Crop Jeans ($79) or J Brand's 935 Low-Rise Capri Jeans ($174), and Jean-Michel Cazabat¬'s Willa Wedges ($346). Or you could simply go for some summer-perfect cutoffs and a breezy white tee, as Lennox did at the launch party for the Edinburgh Festival's summer season. To recreate this casual look, try Sienna's Scalloped Crochet Tunic ($52) with Urban Renewal's Cutoff Denim Shorts ($28) and a borrowed-from-the-boys brimmed hat, like Oak's Grey Fedora ($48). Just follow Lennox¬'s well-dressed lead, and you¬'ll be hitting all the right style notes √† la Tali in no time flat! ¬--KM
